Today's application development
tools are robust and full-featured. They are also complex. So instead of
spending your valuable time using the tool to find solutions, you
spend it trying to figure out how to actually use the tool. This
is where we come in.
Jacadis provides expert, real-world training using
the Acunetix Web Vulnerability Scanner.
Training includes...
- Each attendee receives a FREE one year
subscription to our exclusive customer service and
security on-line knowledge base.
- An overview of the current risk landscape,
including how attackers are exploiting vulnerable websites
and examples of web application hacks (SQL Injection and XSS)
- A web application security review
covering technical and administrative safeguards across the
organization’s software development life cycle (SDLC)
- Expert guidance in using advanced features like
HTTP Sniffer, Authentication Tester, Vulnerability Editor, HTTP Fuzzer, HTTP Editor and using SQL to store scan data.
- Personalized Q & A session
Course Description:
This course is taught by certified security consultants that
routinely perform network, host, and client-side penetration tests and
vulnerability assessments. This course begins with an overview of the
web application risk landscape, exploring the threats and
vulnerabilities affecting today’s web applications. It then immerses
students in a step-by-step walkthrough of the Acunetix Web Vulnerability
Scanner. Students are exposed to live Acunetix scans that target
vulnerabilities detailed by the Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP)
and the Web Application Security Consortium (WASC). Students will gain
an understanding of how to find SQL injection and Cross Site Scripting
weaknesses using the Acunetix tool. Finally, the course discusses
additional web application safeguards required to defend a web
application infrastructure, including the use of Acunetix as part of a
layered defense. The course closes with a question and answer period.
Upon Completion:
The class will provide students with a working knowledge of the Acunetix
tool set as well as an overview of the web application risk landscape.
Students will be able to set up an Acunetix scan, assess the
vulnerabilities of a web site, create and publish reports on the
findings, and tune the Acunetix tool. The course will provide
information that is useful in pursuing professional certification such
CEH, CISSP, or CISA, but it is not intended to prepare students for a
specific certification. An Acunetix certification is currently not
available.
Who should attend:
- System and network
administrators with new security responsibility
